What is International Women’s Day?

International Women’s Day is a day to celebrate women’s achievements while taking action for an equal world. 

Regardless of age, race, or gender, we are all parts of a whole and we are only limited by what we think is possible… emphasis on “think”. Together, we can accomplish anything.

History remembers strong, influential women in our past, but it’s up to us to continue shaping the future. Our individual actions, conversations, behaviors, and mindsets set the stage for what is possible.

House of Lashes’ CEO puts so much emphasis on self improvement, female empowerment, collaboration over competition, and surrounding yourself with driven people who want to see you succeed. She is a thriving WOMAN who we all look up to. Yes she is our boss, but also our mentor, both professionally and personally. 

Savvy entrepreneur, trailblazer in the lash industry, loving wife, mother of two, she can do it ALL! She leads a team of strong, intelligent women at House of Lashes that help execute her dream on a daily basis.

Get to know some of the leading women in our company and the secrets to their success! 

Jenn: CEO and Founder 

“I always believed that one woman’s success can only help another woman’s success.” - Gloria Vanderbilt 

This quote perfectly describes who Jenn is, so it’s no wonder that it’s one of her favorites. She is always trying to motivate others and help in any way she can. 

Her success didn’t change her, if anything it made her a more humble and giving person than she already was. She is a hands on boss and leads by example of hard work and perseverance. 

Growing up, Jenn had her grandma, mother and strong female figures to model that were strong-willed and successful in whatever they put their minds to. This upbringing helped shape her into the enduring woman she is today!

One of Jenn's life mottos is, "Treat others how you want to be treated." It doesn't matter if they are your family, friends, co-workers or strangers- we should all treat each other with kindness and respect. 

Molly: Chief Financial Officer 

Molly is the epitome of graciousness, strength, and leadership. Her communication and mindfulness has supported all of our team members in the company’s growth. She always provides a reminder of intention and connection to everything the company stands for and does. 

We have Molly to thank for supporting our continued growth. With her support, we see a bright future and many more years of success! 

When asked how she stays so centered, focus, and connected, she responded with it all starts with mindset: 

“A favorite quote that catapulted me down a path of immense growth many years ago is from Dr. Wayne Dyer: ‘When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change’. 

Being a leader in any aspect of our lives is a result of choosing a never-ending inward journey of self-mastery. 

We are all on a path of discovering who we are, what fuels us, what value we bring to the world, what brings us joy, what fears and pain shape our reality. Inner peace is about continually working to align what we believe to be true with the reality of what is true in all that is happening around us. Perspective is everything. 

Everyone’s journey is different. We have to continually cultivate our inner awareness in order to observe our own thoughts, emotions, and actions without judgement. Our greatest joys and successes in life are found when we strive to create harmony through our interaction with the world and within ourselves. 

The greatest impact you can make in life is by choosing to go inward with curiosity and doing the work to be the best version of you.

Stephanie: Creative Director 

Going on 4 years this year, Stephanie has been a huge value to the creative team and company as a whole. 

Stephanie has worked on many projects over her years with House of Lashes where she has demonstrated innovation, collaboration, and leadership. 

She has an impressive eye for design, her time management skills are out of this world... OH and she's a new mom to the most handsome little bundle of joy!

So what’s her secret to keeping it all together??? 

“I was recently told "perfectionism is a myth" and it stuck with me. Not just in my profession, but in my home life I always want everything to be perfect. I have been reminding myself that it doesn't need to be perfect, it just needs to be the best I can make it and that is all I can ask for. 

This has helped me set realistic expectations and really allows me to have a more positive outlook instead of being stressed out striving for something that is completely unattainable.” - Steph 

Breana: Operations Manager 

Breana has been with the company for 5 years. She was one of the first employees that House of Lashes ever had! 

As the company expanded, there were many changes that also came with it. She has always adapted and led the rest of the team to success with her quick problem solving skills, her unstoppable drive and willingness to support others. 

Her work ethic is unprecedented and something we can all learn from. 

When we asked her how she got this far, this is what she had to say: 

“Life is not kind or easy. Life is about having good days, having bad days, and having so-so days. 

At an early age I was blessed to see hardships that cultivated a simple mindset:

1. You have to give your ALL to what you’re doing. If your “all” is at 50% today, then give that whole 50%. You would be surprised by what 50% can do in one day.
2. My last motto is you will never be able to CONTROL anything, except YOURSELF and what you control - your emotions, your energy, your all, your fight, your communication.” - Breana
